02Right for the market

Every market, done right.

A US resume and a French CV are different documents: paper size, section labels, date conventions, and what belongs on the page at all. Switching markets rebuilds the document rather than translating it. We're starting with the US and France, and adding a market only once it's genuinely right.

More markets are in progress. Tell us where you're applying and we'll prioritise it.

04The hard rule

The AI will never make something up.

Your resume's facts are treated as fixed inputs. The AI can change how your experience is worded, ordered, and emphasized, but it cannot change what the experience was. You should be able to defend every line of what you send.

It won't add what isn't there

No employers, titles, dates, degrees, certifications, or tools you haven't actually worked with.

✕ blocked
"Led a team of 12 engineers"
no team size in your resume

It won't inflate a number

Metrics carry through exactly as you wrote them. A 22% lift doesn't quietly become 40%.

✕ blocked
"Grew adoption 40%"
your resume says 22%

What it does do

Brings forward the true parts of your experience this employer cares about, in their vocabulary.

Dear Hiring Manager,

I'm writing about the Senior Product Designer role at Brightwave. I've spent seven years designing B2B SaaS products, most recently leading the design system used by more than forty engineers, which is the problem your posting describes.

At Brightwave I'd bring two things you asked for directly. First, end-to-end ownership: I ran discovery through delivery on an analytics suite and lifted adoption 22%. Second, systems thinking: my design system work cut UI build time by 35% and made accessibility a default rather than a review step.

I'd welcome the chance to walk through that work with your team.

Sincerely,Alex Rivera
What changes between markets
1
Opens with the role
Names the job and your strongest piece of evidence in the first two lines.
2
Numbers over adjectives
Each paragraph carries a figure taken from your resume.
3
Three short paragraphs
US recruiters skim, and longer letters tend to go unread.
4
A direct close
Asks for the conversation without hedging.
06Track everything

Every job you score is already tracked.

Saved, applied, interviewing, offer. Each card keeps the score, the resume version you sent, and your notes, and reminds you when a follow-up is due.

Solid answer. The figure lands and the obstacle is concrete. Add a sentence on the resistance you met; interviewers score Action higher when the path wasn't smooth.

FAQ

Questions, answered

ResumeClerk pulls the required skills, tools, and qualifications out of the posting and checks each one against your resume. Scoring is rule-based with no AI in the loop, so the same job and resume always produce the same score. Every matched and missing term is listed by name, so you can see what the number is made of.
Paper size moves from Letter to A4, section labels change (Experience becomes Expérience Professionnelle), dates follow French convention, a Langues section is added with CECRL levels, and the état civil line French recruiters look for appears. The wording is also adjusted for register, not just vocabulary.
Correct. Employers, titles, dates, degrees, and metrics are fixed inputs that can't be altered, only rephrased, reordered, and re-emphasized. If a posting asks for five years of something you have two years of, ResumeClerk reports it as a gap instead of papering over it. You should be able to defend every line of what you send.
For now, yes. Scoring reads the posting off the page, so the extension is what starts a job. Everything after that lives in the web app: it signs in with your ResumeClerk account, so a job you score is already in your workspace, and you review the edits, export the PDF and track the application there.
No. Your resume and applications are stored so your history, versions, and scores persist. They are never sold, shared, or used for training, and you can export or delete everything from settings at any time.
That's a large part of who it's built for. You can convert your resume into a proper French CV, score French-language postings, and apply with a document that follows French conventions rather than a translated American one. It works in the other direction too, for French candidates applying to the US.
