Terms of Service
Last updated: September 7, 2026
Using ResumeClerk, on the website or through the Chrome extension, means you accept these terms. If you would rather not, please do not use the service.
The service
ResumeClerk scores your resume against job postings, generates tailored versions you can download, and keeps track of the applications you are working on. It is available as a web app and as a companion Chrome extension, which works once you have signed it in to your account. The free plan includes 20 job scans, 3 resume tailors, and 3 resume uploads per week. We may change limits, features, or pricing over time, and a paid plan may be introduced later.
Your account
{{siteName}} needs an account, on the web and in the extension, and you need to be at least 16 to open one. Keep your sign-in details to yourself: what happens under your account is your responsibility, including anything done by an extension you have connected to it. You can delete the account whenever you like from Settings, and it goes properly, not into a holding pattern. We may suspend or close an account that abuses the service, the people using it, or these terms.
Acceptable use
ResumeClerk is designed to help job seekers tailor resumes to job postings. You agree not to use it to misrepresent your qualifications, to submit content you don't have the right to use, or to abuse, overload, or circumvent the service or its usage limits.
Your content
You keep ownership of the resume content you provide. You grant us only the permission needed to process it to deliver the service (scoring, tailoring, and PDF generation), as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for reviewing any AI-generated output before you use it.
AI-generated content & disclaimer
ResumeClerk is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Scores and rewrites are generated with the help of AI and may contain errors. We make no guarantees about ATS behavior, interview outcomes, or job placement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of the service.
Third-party platforms
ResumeClerk reads job postings from LinkedIn pages you navigate to while the extension is active. It reads only the job you are currently viewing, on demand, and only when you take an action. There is no bulk collection and no background crawling. You remain responsible for complying with LinkedIn's own terms of service when using their platform. ResumeClerk is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes are reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
